Tuesday, May 12, was an exciting moment in realizing our new manufacturing line: the freeze dryer was delivered by Hof. The precious, 12-ton machine had to be lifted three floors high to be placed in our new production area. A precise operation, as there was a safety margin of only five centimeters during the lifting.
The new freeze dryer arrived on huge trucks straight from Germany. The team was present early in the morning to make all preparations. The lifting of the freeze dryer started at around 11.00 hours. About 3.5 hours later, all parts were safely brought in.

This freeze dryer is part of our brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing line for the production of steriles in an EMA and US-FDA certified facility. The 3D artist impression below shows our new, 20 meter long, filling line. The freeze dryer (not visible on this picture) will be coupled to this filling line in June.
Despite the COVID pandemic, the construction of our new production line is “spot on track”, which is an outstanding performance of all teams involved, and we expect to be able to run the first GMP productions for our customers as planned from April 2021.
